ABOUT ME!
My name is Jay Sherratt and I’m an Illustrator and Indie comic creator from Weymouth, UK. I’m motivated by my want to create characters and dynamic scenes this includes creating imaginative scnearios and obscure body forms, a large amount of my work is in a dark grungdy style that plays into symbolism and metaphorical work, based around subjects such as: science-fiction, mental health, or local myths and legends.
I create large, or small illustrations consisting of; characters, monsters, and anything that I can think of! I enjoy experimenting with mixed media, like oil pastels or acrylic paint. I am primarily a traditional artist working with a multitude of phyical tools, to get a hands on approach to whatever i am creating, like fineliners for detail, or big felt markers for harsh bold lines! I enjoy being able to make mistakes and learn from them, not to discourage myself.
